QUESTIONS

Me preguntó a dónde había ido el día anterior (estilo indirecto)

Indirecto: She asked me where had I gone I had gone the previous day ?.

Where had I gone? Auxiliar + sujeto +  verbo ?

Reported Speech (estilo indirecto).- Para decir lo que otro ha dicho, sin usar las palabras exactas que usó. 


Direct Speech (estilo directo).- He says:" I am happy".

Reported Speech (estilo indirecto).- He says he is happy.
 

Si el verbo introductor del estilo indirecto (he says) está en pasado (he said) se producen cambios en los tiempos verbales de la frase que se dijo.

Cristina dijo: “ mi casa está aquí”

a) CAMBIOS EN EL TIEMPO VERBAL:


- presente simple – pasado simple

- he said: “I study…”

he said that he studied…

- presente continuo – pasado continuo

- he said: “I am studying”

he said that he was studying

- presente perfecto – pasado perfecto

- he said: “I have studied”

he said that he had studied

- presente perfecto continuo – pasado perfecto continuo

- he said: “I have been studying”

he said (that) he had been studying

- pasado simple – pasado perfecto

- he said: “ I studied”

he said (that) he had studied.



b) cambio en pronombres o adjetivos posesivos: depende del contexto de la frase:

He said: “I go to my house”.
He said he went to his house

They said: “we are speaking with you (I)”
They said that they were speaking with me

c) otros cambios: (según contexto)
